Welcome back to the podcast it is really echoey and here I am realizing that so we’re going to find a new spot or find some cushions to put on the walls where the sun is it echoing anyways like I said welcome back I got a few notes in front of me this is last minute I got a put something out I am striving to be consistent we’ll talk about that today I message Christi my wife and I said I need something to talk about today and I had sent her a podcast and Emily podcast to listen to today that I listen to on a run and I kind of went off that and she gave me an idea and we’re gonna dive into that so first of all I love and my lights podcast I kept quite a few of them I listen to one today that he had recently with Amy Porterfield an online business entrepreneur works for Tony Robbins then quit that to start her own thing she talked about her failures how she was quite well-connected monster first course and was expecting to sell like $100,000 worth of our course and sold like $287 and look under $300 and dealing with that disappointment and dealing with feeling like a failure so I guess we’ll start here by saying if you’re following along with anything we’re doing we’re in limbo right now we are here we are dealing with disappointment and failure and we are moving forward my my backstory up to this point is two years ago as a firefighter London I’ve had some burning desire to do this online podcast YouTube channel helping firefighters helping men live better lives it’s a passion of mine it’s a dream and be healthy to be mentally fit to be physically fit to be emotionally fit spiritually fit I think fearfully has a deep culture of other can be some some bad food habits some bad what do you wanna say as far as like maybe laziness around the hall at times and just getting into this groove of like it being comfortable and eating ice cream and looking at your phone more than you would normally Cuz you got some downtime or going to bed later than you would get woken up to go to calls in the melanite right like all these things lead to lead to some real health problems in the life of a person first responders so right now I’m like I’m really seeing been out of it for a while Waze where I was once in one place and I feel like I can make a difference in that place one of the reasons I’m here is because a year and just over a year ago like I officially quit I left to go leave absence and I officially quit because I had this thing that I wanted to do and I knew if I went back I wouldn’t do it and so I burned the boats I burn the bridges I didn’t burn the bridges cause I still have great relationships but I I said I’m not going back because there’s something else I wanna do and I won’t I know I won’t do that unless unless I leave and so believe me being back here and being in limbo I’ve had seasons in an episode of like what did I do white like YYY and so take a deep breath and we’re just moving on I’m without tooting my own horn I am really good at starting things without having all the answers that’s one of my superpowers I am not afraid to dive into something and without without knowing how to finish it that’s how I got in the construction in renovating houses in like YouTube was my teacher while my dad was my first teacher grade teacher YouTube what do you know what I was doing and I’m not afraid and like I say when you run away to take twice as long as you gotta do it in twice cause you’re messed up the first time right like I’m not afraid to mess it up but I found it in this new area of online business I’m super afraid I’m free with people think I actually don’t know what to do a lot of times I don’t know what the next action steps are and so listen to Amy today I’m jumping on a jump back-and-forth between these two ideas a little bit but listening to Aimee today I’ve heard telegram Cochrane from my online business stuff and he has said all the same things build an email list email your list every week provide get like have a really really great lead magnet give 80% of your stuff away for free like all these things Amy said the exact same things in a little bit different way that really resonated with me and one thing she was talking about how to grow kind of what I’m trying to do a great business is like reach out to people because everyone’s got a podcast reach out to people who have a podcast and offer to be on the podcast they might be looking for somebody and it’s like it’s really uncomfortable for me sometimes I don’t feel like my message is clear enough I don’t feel like I have value to add I’m intimidated and it’s like I have all these feelings and and sometimes you just have to jump so I got back from the run when I was listening to it I immediately sat down and I message five people who I don’t know I know through social media and I must have someone I said listen if it serves you I’d love to be on your podcast if I’m if you ever need me or if you ever need a Gast that was super hard cause it’s like they got bigger followings and they’re further along than they seem to know more and all these things sob I think what I’d like to say today is I am just encouraging you to like if there’s something that’s in you that you wanna do to like jump and take a step in that direction that’s really uncomfortable knowing that it’s not the end of the world can I take a nice bath I can get in there I had a cold shower last night I was in there like kind of freaking out actually I was did not it’s been it’s been a minute and since I’ve been really cold and I was like this is really uncomfortable get me I’ll get me out this is what’s going on in my head and I stayed there and stayed until it went away diminished a little bit the shit I should say and then shut the water off and within one second I had a thought like oh I feel better and I’m complete that feeling was completely gone so we can just stay through the the uncomfortableness the whatever where do you wanna use that word that the feeling of being uncomfortable long enough will know that once we get through that thing that was that was actually easy to put that off so that’s my cruise with you again check out the website there’s a lead magnet I’m actually embarrassed to say it’s not my best work so I am coming up with a new lead magnet I had to talk today I’m gonna do a guided guided relaxation deep down regulating breath work routine so I’m gonna provide that so it won’t be on there today or tomorrow next week it’ll be there and like I said if you wanna be on the podcast
